What is TBFS?
TBFS stands for Tournament Bass Fishing Software. It is Windows-based software for tournament bass fishing clubs. It provides a club with everything they need to run tournaments in a few keystrokes and mouse clicks, instead of building large, complex Excel spreadsheets.
TBFS eliminates the need for your club to have a computer guru to conduct weigh-ins, compute standings, and provide tourney results and season-to-date statistics and standings. It does all that and more with a few keystrokes and mouse clicks!
It also provides full membership services and built-in certificates to honor members’ on-the-water performance and contributions to the club.
Technical skills needed to install and use it?
If you can type and click a mouse. You can install and use TBFS. We provide a comprehensive, 60-page step-by-step User Manual.
We have numerous videos on YouTube dealing with the installation and use of TBFS.
Finally, our web-based support comes with the pledge to respond to any requests within 24 hours, if not sooner.
Will it work for my club?
- TBFS works for both team and individual formats.
- Tournament finishes are based on net weight, which is bag weight less any penalties.
- Each club determines the rules such as:
- The number of tournaments held
- The number of drops allowed for those tournaments,
- Scoring method (High to Low or Low to High)
- Points assigned for disqualification, not fishing, skunk, dead fish, minutes late, etc.
- Whether a tourney counts for AOY and/or COY awards
- Rules for lunker (weight and species).
How do I get my current membership and tourney season’s data in?
TBFS provides import capabilities for clubs with membership data and/or tournament results in Excel spreadsheets. We take YOUR spreadsheets exactly as they are and provide you the ability to map them to the data in TBFS. That’s it, a few mouse clicks, and everything is in and ready to go!
No spreadsheets, no problem! TBFS has easy-to-use modules to enter your membership and tourney data.
Clubs have entered both into TBFS in a single session, between tourneys held a week apart, and have been up and fully functional to process that next weigh-in using TBFS.
What happens to my data if my computer or hard drive dies?
TBFS has a full backup and recovery system that will have you back up and running in minutes once the computer or hard drive is ready to go from your last good backup with no data loss!

How often is TBFS upgraded or enhanced?
TBFS was built by a tournament bass fisherman to make it easier for club officers to run their clubs. So we naturally welcome suggestions for additional features we can incorporate as upgrades and enhancements to the software.
We look to schedule releases during the winter months when things slow down, but are open to releases during the season as well.
We are currently working on an upgrade that would automatically generate club websites based on information in TBFS and host them through Affordable Business Solutions, the company that provides TBFS.
